A Medieval Stonemason

A master mason was a man to be respected. His skill came from many years of study as an apprentice.

He not only designed and built toe stone walls. He was in charge of the whole site, be it a cathedral, castle, tower, dovecote or house.

He was in charge of the carpenters, the quarrymen, the glaziers, the lead workers.

My story takes you into the family of a mason, and his lodge, and his dealings with his client.
